World War Z

World War Z is listed as a apocalyptic horror film, but I would say it was semi-horror filled with tons of action. Brad Pitt owned this film, he didn't overact (thank goodness), but I restate he really owned his character. The movie is about 115 minutes long; a decent size film with tons of action mixed in with bits of horror. This created a great recipe of suspense as well, because you couldn't tell exactly when the Zombies would attack. I am thankful they did not draw out the how people became Zombies. Don't get me wrong it is explained but the directors and writers really paid attention to how much detail to put into the movie; time is precious and unnecessary scenes can make a film too long. Great job Brad Pitt and Marc Forster.

I give this movie 3.5 stars

Django - Unchained

"Django, the D is silent..." OMG this movie was flipping amazing. Tarantino got it completely right. I don't think I could see Jamie Foxx or Leonardo Dicaprio playing any other characters. And of course Samuel L Jackson, is going to do his thing and show out. I would have it no other way. And Kerry Washington, "Miss Kerry baby!!!" She's always "Scandalous." Although I'm a really jumpy movie watcher, I managed to make it through 85% of the graphic portions. Personally I am proud of myself. This was a great one, yes indeedy. A- (minus only because I heard rap in the movie, it threw me for a little loop; but not by much).

This is 40

This is 40, wasn't too bad. It had a fair share of comedy here and there. I was expecting it to be a little more funny like it's predecessor "Knocked Up," but it was not. Um, yep that's all I have to say. C+

Les Misérables

Truly amazing. I had not been privy to the storyline before seeing Les Miserables. I did not know if I would like this movie initially, seriously they sung everything (I mean everything). Surprisingly, I was still able to follow the storyline and enjoyed every part of it. I would recommend this movie to everyone. It is full of passion, of hurt, pain, love and even a tish bit of comedic relief. A- Can't wait for this to be released to Blu-Ray, oh the behind the scene footage to be seen. Jack Reacher

Full of action with a tish bit of mystery, Tom Cruise in my opinion pulls of a great performance in "Jack Reacher." I must say I did have my movies mixed up when I entered the theater. Purely my fault alone, when I thought this was the "Oblivion" movie that is still upcoming in the future. Needless to say I stayed and watched Jack Reacher and was glad that I did. This movie has tons of action with the right amount of "sneakiness." I loved it even though it was a tad bit predictable. B- Rock on Tom Cruise.

The Hobbitt

I'm sure I am going to be outcast for this but the Hobbitt was ok. It was entirely to long for my liking. I won't go into details, but once was enough for me.

On to the next one.

Red Dawn

My very first review. Yay!!! Red Dawn was not what I expected at all. I went to this movie on a whim and had little to no expectations other than I wanted to see lots of action. This movie did not disappoint me. The characters were true to their ages for the most part playing the high school students 17-18 year old role while having to grow up fast. The movie flowed well for me, gave a little side romance and a lot of shooting and war. Pleasantly pleased. I will give this move a B-
